Shillong Premer League: Sawmer Sports Club played out a goalless draw against Rangdajied
Sawmer stunned title challengers Rangdajied United as they played out a goalless draw in the rain affected muddy SSA Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The match was heavily affected as the heavy rain worsen the ground condition as passes along the surface either skidded off the grass or got bogged down in the water. And high balls died as soon as they hit the turf.
Although Rangdajied were dominant in the first half, it seemed they lost the energy fighting in the rain as it was Sawmer who really put the 2013 champions under enormous pressure in the second session.
Rangdajied attack was often interpreted by wet grass and as muddy field played a vital roll in a goalless tie.
Tomorrow Langsning will take on Meghalaya Police at 5:30 PM.
