Mizoram Premier League: Chanmari FC register their third win, beat Bethlehem Vengthlang FC 2-1  Youngster Mark Zothanpuia´s wonderful strike ensured Chanmari FC of three points as they overcame a spirited Bethlehem Vengthlang FC tonight in round 2. A second-half substitute in the game, the teenager Mark took the ball from outside of 35 yards and struck what would be the winner on the 88th minute. Chanmari FC had taken the lead in an open affair in the first half when C. Muana teed up Lalnunzama for his third goal in as matches on the 28th minute. Bethlehem Vengthlang FC replied fourteen minutes into the second half when PC Vanlalhruaia finished off a move after being set up by Jonathan Lalhriatkima. BVT FC had come extremely close to scoring before they goal their goal when C. Tluanga rattled the woodwork while the pacy Muanzova missed a crucial chance at the other end in a vibrant display of attacking football by both teams.

Mizoram Premier League: Chawnpui    FC and Electric Veng FC share points Two MPL debutants kicked off round 3 of the Mizoram Premier League as they battled each other to a goalless draw this afternoon. A relatively quiet first half at AR Lammual saw both teams struggle to create clear-cut chances as they were able to cancel each other at both ends. The in-form team Electric Veng FC had the better of the few chances in the game with David Lalnuanawma coming close to giving his side the lead. Chanwpui FC struggled in the final third as Vanrammawia Ngente proved to be the only bright spark in their frontline. The second half saw a more open affair with Electric Veng FC controlling proceedings. David Lalchhuanawma and Vanlalremruata could not capitalise on their chances as EFC looked more likely to take the lead on a couple of occasions. The 2018 North East Tamchon Football Tournament to kick off from 6th October The North East Tamchon Tournament is one of the biggest football tournaments in New Delhi initiated in the year 2007 in memory of (L) RN Tamchon, the then ACP Delhi Police. The tournament is organized by the Tangkhul Naga Society Delhi with support from various government and private agencies. The 2018 edition of the North East Tamchon Football Tournament and like every year a total of 16 North East teams from the North East Community get to participate in the tournament.  The 16 teams will be divided into four groups and each group will have four teams. Shillong Premier League: Rangdajied United and Shillong Lajong was called off poor light Shillong Premier League encounter between Rangdajied United and Shillong Lajong was called off due to floodlight issue at Shillong Sports Association(SSA) stadium on Wednesday evening at Polo. Shillong Sports Association (SSA) official said there is an issue with some of the floodlights on the river side of the stadium and that Friday´s match kick-off time will probably be change to play in the natural light, the time, however, is yet to confirmed by the authorities. Langsning remains undefeated in Shillong Premier League Langsning secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Malki in their second leg encounter of the Shillong Premier League at the SSA Stadium on Tuesday evening. Donborlang Nongkynrih and Kynsaibor Lhuid score a double each in Langsning victory while Vinici L Darlong scored the consolation for Malki Frolicson Dkhar steal the show with a couple of good saves as a goalkeeper for defending champions Langsning who helped champions to extend their dominance in the SPL they now have 18 points at the top of the table, with five wins and three draws. 2018 Shillong Premier League: Sawmer 1-0 Meghalaya Police. Sawmer secured a narrow 1-0 win over Meghalaya Police in the ongoing Shillong Premier League 2018 at the SSA Stadium on Monday evening. After a four straight draw in the second phase of the league crowned expected the end of the resultless progress of the league.  Although deadlock reigned for 99% of the match, and it looked like we would have our fifth straight draw, Gamelial Kharlyngdoh put the ball into the net in the second minute of stoppage time (90+2) to earn Sawmer their first full points in the SPL. The draw takes Sawmer to six points from eight games, but they’re still at the bottom of the seven-team league, tied on points with Nangkiew Irat but behind on head-to-head. Shillong Premer League: Last minute goal drama splits the point between Nangkiew Irat and Rangdajied United Nangkiew Irat and Rangdajied United played out a 1-1 draw in the Shillong Premier League at the SSA Stadium on Sunday evening. Rangdajied were better in terms of possession, grabbing as much as 69% in the first half, but could not find a way through the Nangkiew defence. Sikkim Veterans Football Tournament 2018 kicked off today The fourth edition of Sikkim Veterans Football Tournament 2018 was kicked off here at Paljor Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Snow Lion Football Club has outplayed Chandmari United 4-2 in the inaugural match of the tournament. Kamal Bagdas scored a brace for Snow Lion FC in the 60th and 63rd minute, while his teammate Karmpa Gyampo in the 33rd minute and Norden Bhutia in the 68th minute contributed one goal each in the team victory. India went down 2-1 fighting against Maldives in the final of SAFF Cup The Indian National Team went down fighting 1-2 against Maldives in the Final of the SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka today (September 15, 2018). Maldives scored a goal-a-piece in either half, and the only Indian goal came in the added extra time of the second handed courtesy of a Sumeet Passi strike as the Isanders went on to win the SAFF Trophy. Chawnpui FC and Ramhlun North FC settle for a point Setting out looking for their first victory in season 7, newcomers Chawnpui FC held Ramhlun North FC to a 1-1 draw in the final fixture of round 2. Ramhlun North FC took the lead on the 35th minute when Lalliansanga took advantage of a costly error from Chawnpui FC's goalkeeper Malsawma. Chawnpui FC, who were the more threatening side till then, almost conceded another only for Nigerian forward Waheed Adekunle's wayward finishing saving them from going two goals behind. Electric Veng FC continue to fly high Newly promoted MPL side continued their dream run this season as they made it two wins in two matches with a 1-0 victory over Mizoram Police FC. A late second half goal from David Lalchhuanawma sealed three points for EFC, as they continue to rise above all expectations. Mizoram Police missed chances to take the lead in a first half where they were the better team. F. Lalrinpuia missed two good chances while V. The three days AIFF Grassroot leaders coach coaching classes organized by West Bengal District Sports Association and SMKP ended today at Kanchenjunga stadium. Overwhelming 100 boys under the age category of 6-12 years participated along with 26 number of coaches from the Siliguri and Jalpaiguri region in the three-day programme. Mr. Sailesh Karkare from AIFF was the key instructor along with SMKP officials.

Mohun Bagan sealed their title-ship in the 2018 Calcutta Football League Premier Division as they beat Calcutta Customs 2-0 on Wednesday evening at Mohun Bagan Ground. Mariners who just needed a point to make sure they remain unmoved from the top place for the championship title gained an early lead through Henry Kisekka on Arijit Bagui cross. The calm and composed Green and Maroon maintained the domination and throughout the game and the second goal for them came in two minutes before the end of the first session. Shillong Premer League: Sawmer Sports Club played out a goalless draw against Rangdajied Sawmer stunned title challengers Rangdajied United as they played out a goalless draw in the rain affected muddy SSA Stadium on Tuesday evening. The match was heavily affected as the heavy rain worsen the ground condition as passes along the surface either skidded off the grass or got bogged down in the water. And high balls died as soon as they hit the turf.
